Aldeia Coworking

About the Project

Internal signage and environmental design project for Aldeia Coworking’s two headquarters in Curitiba (Cândido de Abreu and Shopping Estação). The challenge was to create a visual communication system to guide the flow of hundreds of people (coworkers, visitors, and staff) in large shared spaces, without losing the brand’s vibrant and “Maker” essence.

The Design Strategy

The signage moved beyond mere information to become a tool for cultural immersion. The space “speaks” to the user:

Intuitive Navigation (Wayfinding): To solve circulation complexity, we implemented a color-coded floor path system (Factory Floor Style). Lines in Blue, Green, Yellow, and Red act as continuous visual guides, leading users from reception to meeting rooms or workstations, ensuring accessibility and autonomy.

Conceptual Naming & Zoning: Instead of coldly numbering rooms, the signage reflects the user’s “State of Mind.” Signs identify spaces by their creative function: “Focus Room,” “Idea Room,” “Evolution Room.” The design uses linear icons and bold typography on dark backgrounds for maximum contrast and readability.

The “Speaking Wall” (Maker Culture): We utilized strategic touchpoints (elevators, stairs, doors) to reinforce the brand manifesto.

Elevators & Doors: High-impact decals with motivational phrases (“Luck doesn’t exist, realization does”) transform transitional areas into inspiration points.

Staircases: Text applied to the step risers creates a narrative of ascent, encouraging movement.

Functionality with Personality: Even operational notices (restrooms, lockers, pantry) received the brand’s voice. The use of “Aldeia Yellow” highlights important notices and community rules in a friendly and modern way.

The Result

An environment where visual communication eliminates spatial confusion and strengthens the sense of belonging. The signage unified the experience across both locations, turning walls and floors into extensions of Aldeia’s identity.
